Patricia Fanara - Director

Patricia (Gately) Fanara grew up in Maynard, MA. She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Education. Additionally, Trish attained her MBA in Music Business from Southern New Hampshire University. Her principal instrument is trumpet. Trish started studying trumpet at age nine under the direction of Bill Brisson. She has continued to play all kinds of music under excellent teachers including Andrew Sorg, Tony D’Aveni, Jim Guttmann, Christine Fawson, Jeff Stout, and Ken Cervenka.

Trish is a member of and manager for Blueprint Jazz Club. As well as the owner and manager of the Tony Barrie Band. Performing all over the New England area.

Trish’s teaching experience includes various jobs and ages of children. Trish is the Band Director at the North Street School in Grafton. She has experience with the Maynard Public School system as the former director of the high school Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band for eight years. Trish is also a private lesson instructor and has worked with students in grades 2 through 12, as well as some college students.  She teaches brass lessons to students in many different towns including Maynard, Stow, Shrewsbury, Westford, and Boston. Trish also volunteers as a board member for the non-profit “Jazzhers” and is the board president for the Boston-based music program, “Making Music Matters”. Trish says, “As long as I am playing music and working with children I will live a happy and successful life. I am looking forward to continuing my musical career through performing and teaching for many years to come.”
